G. Edick Landscape and Tree Care is one the most diversified companies in the industry and has been in business for over 40 years.

We work in all aspects of the Landscape industry, including:

  • Landscape Maintenance
  • Landscape Construction
  • Arboriculture

  • Snow Removal.

We provide services in Mississauga, Brampton, Erin, Caledon, Oakville, and Toronto.

  • Our business runs all year round. The season for landscaping starts as soon as the winter weather breaks, which is usually in March, and we work outside until the snow flies, which is usually mid-December.
  • Snow removal starts as soon as the snow accumulates and lasts until the snow is gone.
  • Some people only choose to work in the spring, summer, and fall seasons and on an on-call basis
  • If you are a full-time 12-month employee, you will be expected to work full-time during the landscaping season and be on call and available 24/7 during the snow removal season.
  • We do our best to work with people’s schedules and can be very flexible with work hours.

    Job Title: Landscape Maintenance Foreperson

    Position Start Date: We are offering year round employment with compensation to
    commensurate with experience.

    Salary: Top rates offered based on experience and work ethic

    Position Overview:

    • Manage the execution of maintenance, planning labour requirements, equipment requirements and to ensure completion of job(s) within project deadlines.
    • Cutting and trimming grass, raking, and fertilizing
    • Completing fall and spring garden clean-ups.
    • Weeding and cultivating gardens, pruning shrubs and trees.
    • Installing soil and mulch into planting beds, spreading top soil, laying sod, planting flowers, grass, shrubs and trees.
    • Handle, transport and install nursery stock.
    • Performing various other duties to assist in maintenance and construction of landscapes as directed.
    • Operate various tools and equipment including: blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning equipment, lawn mowers and line trimmers.
    • Read and fill in required information on all work logs, time sheets and schedules.
    • Enthusiasm and hard work ethic

    Position Requirements:

    • Valid ‘g’ driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
    • Horticulture diploma/degree or landscape technician education preferred but not required.
    • Knowledge of plants and proper tree/shrub planting practices
    • Minimum 2 year landscaping experience.
    • Knowledge of plant material preferred.
    • Ability to work outside in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, snow and cold
    • Ability to work up to 10+ hours a day including weekend work.
